When you log sets, calculate 1RM records, or build custom training mesocycles, all entries are stored locally on your device via IndexedDB. We do not store this data on our servers.
Overload AI offers an optional hands-free audio logger for training sessions. The app only accesses your microphone (RECORD_AUDIO) when you actively tap the voice entry button. Voice audio is processed ephemerally in real-time solely to identify numbers and exercises, and is immediately discarded. No audio is ever recorded, stored, or transmitted to external databases.
When you chat with Coach Overload or request a Smart Exercise Swap, your prompt and non-identifying exercise context are securely forwarded via our cloud proxy to the Google Gemini API. We never send your name, email, or personal identity.
Purchases of Overload Pro subscriptions are processed securely through the Google Play Store via Google Play Billing. We never receive or store your credit card or payment credentials.
If you choose to connect Android Health Connect, Overload AI requests permission to read your step count and body weight, and to write the active calories burned by workouts you finish in the app. This is entirely optional and you can revoke access at any time in Health Connect settings. Health Connect data stays on your device: it is never uploaded, sold, shared with third parties, used for advertising, or sent to the AI Coach.
If you choose to sign in for cloud backup, we store your email address (used only to sign you in with a one-time code) and an encrypted-in-transit copy of your workout data (workouts, routines, personal records, body-weight entries and preferences) so you can restore it or use it on another device. Your personal Gemini API key, if you entered one, is never uploaded. Access is limited to your account by row-level security. You can delete your cloud account and backup at any time from Settings, which permanently removes them.
Crash reports (sent through Sentry) contain the technical error (including crashes in the Android app itself), app version, device model and operating system version, with email addresses and key-like text removed. They do not include your IP-based identity, account, workouts or any other personal data. You can turn them off in Settings. Anonymous usage statistics (which features are used, with a random install identifier) are off by default and only sent if you opt in. Neither ever includes your workouts, name, email, health data or API key.
Purchases are processed by Google Play. We use RevenueCat to verify your subscription status; it receives an anonymous app user identifier and purchase receipts, not your payment details.
Body measurements are stored on your device and are included in your optional cloud backup. Progress photos are stored only on your device (in the app's private storage) and are never uploaded or included in cloud backups; deleting a photo or uninstalling the app removes them.
The optional Voice Coach reads set summaries and rest countdowns aloud using your phone's built-in text-to-speech. The text is spoken on your device and is not sent to us or to any third party by the app. While it speaks, the app may briefly lower the volume of other audio.
Exercise demonstration animations are licensed from ExerciseDB.io and are loaded from a media server (ours or the provider's) the first time you view an exercise. Like any web request, this lets that server see your device's IP address and the file requested; no account details, workout data or other personal information is included. Images you have viewed may be cached on your device for offline use.
Workout reminders and rest-timer alerts, including the +30s and Skip buttons on the rest-timer notification, are scheduled and handled locally on your device. No notification content or schedule is sent to any server.
You have total control over your data. You can delete individual workouts or trigger a complete factory reset at any time inside the app by going to Settings > Factory Reset / Clear Data. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all local records.
If you created a cloud backup account, you can delete it and everything stored with it from Settings → Cloud backup & sync → Delete my cloud account & backup. If you can no longer use the app, email ojerinolapraise@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my Overload AI account" from the address you signed in with. We will delete your account, backup and email address within 30 days and confirm by reply. Data stored only on your device is never held by us and is removed when you uninstall the app.
